Cliff Jumping

We went to fun spot where we swam and jumped off cliffs! Luke had fun swimming around playing with his cousins. Sebastian is a brave little boy. However, after jumping off the tall cliff with Daryl he preferred the lower one that he could jump off by himself!! Chance contemplated jumping off the tall tall cliff for awhile but couldn't muster up the courage this time. He had a blast jumping off the other ones. Synjin is a stud and did them all!! Daryl too!

Memorial Weekend Campout

We went camping near Lake Isabella in Kern River Valley for the long weekend. We had a funtastic time! The older boys including Daryl :) went river rafting. Sebastian was freezing at first. Daryl got thrown from the raft. Other than that, they had a great experience!! . We are waiting for them to paddle by.... This kid has some serious stomach muscles! We watched some pretty gnarly wipeouts behind us, a couple scary ones involving kids...without life jackets on!! Luke enjoyed hanging out with the Agnews, a family we met camping. They were part of our group, mostly ES ward, of about 60 people. We even had a movie night!! And the trip would not be complete without some car sickness on the way down the mountain!!!

TELLING TIME

Luke was getting restless (more than usual) towards the end of sacrament meeting, like 10 minutes left. He wanted to go out and get a drink and go to the bathroom. Well, we had just gone so I said no. I was pointing things out in the chapel to try and get his mind off it. -Luke, let's count the lights. -One, two,three,.... -How many flowers do you see? -One, two, three,..... -Look at the clock. What time does it say? -It is telling me it's time to go to the bathroom. So funny!! I'm so thankful for all my many reasons to smile!!

Mad Scientist Birthday Party

We had so much fun at Chance's birthday party!! It's always fun to celebrate with family and friends!!
All ready to start the experiments!!

On a coffee filter they drew designs with markers and then sprayed water on it and watched the colors spread out!

We filled a bowl with a little milk and a drop of food coloring. Then we dipped a toothpick in dish soap and touched the drop of food coloring and the drop would disperse.

We filled a bottle with water, a little bit of vinegar, and a tablespoon or so of baking soda and were excited with the results!!

We cut a pringle can, added wax paper to the lid, and then taped the can back together with duct tape and with the lid in the middle. With a push pin we made a hole in the bottom of the pringle can. We then looked through the open end of the can in a sunny spot and everything appeared upside down!!

Our big 6 year old! He is such a joy!!

Ostrich Egg

First step, make a hole in the egg with hammer and screwdriver.

Next, stir contents with a skewer.

Then, dump the contents into a bowl.

Finally, enjoy! It tastes just like a chicken egg. Chance didn't think so but I think it's because he knew it actually wasn't!

Solvang

A bit rainy but still a lot of fun!!

Delicious chocolates!

Best buds!

Luke was rocking out to the music! It was so funny!
