The Blankey

This is Chance's blankey- yes, it's a queen size comforter. He will not go to bed without it. We tried it for about 3 days but it was just torture for ALL of us so I caved and gave it back to him. We have even taken it out to dinner with us. These pictures are of the mistake I made of letting him see me put it in the dryer. It's kinda like out of sight out of mind. One would of thought it was the end of the world.

I closed the door to the laundry room.

He can't handle the separation.

Reunited and it feels sooooo good!!

Cute pictures, cute blogs, cute kids! That must be some trick taking that "blankie" out to dinner! I'm glad you take the boys to visit Nona! I know that means a lot to her and to all the residents! They need a little rise in their blood pressure once in a while!

I love that he loves that blankey so much! How dare you torture him like that just to clean it! I mean, really. :)

I'm just glad Devin never went through that phrase.

All I have to say to that is...ta-kong.

Ta-kong yourself!!!

If he chews on it as much as our kids chew on theirs then I say more power to ya for washing it...They start to smell a little funky after too long. I just think the documentation of the torture session was a little cruel..

Ta-kong times infinity back to you!!!

personal admission:

I still have my blankie. Not even joking. I sleep with it from time to time because it just fits so neatly under my neck, and I like the smell.

End of story.

Ok, this is too hilarious to pass up posting a comment. Bob and I were just rolling picturing your family sitting down for dinner at a nice restaurant with a queen size "blankie" in tow! Too funny!
I do the same thing--torture Marin to clean her blankie. She bawls when she knows it's in the washer, but she loves to have it clean and says "thank you mama" afterwards. Maybe that's the difference with boys--they could care less if it's clean:-)

you need to do what I did....cut off a chunk of it a little bit at a time...until it's down to a tiny square....he will just think he's growing really fast....you can tell him he's a giant
